A Scientometric and Bibliometric Analysis for Actinomycetes Research - Current Status and Future Trends

Actinomycetes are Gram-positive filamentous bacteria used as biocontrol agents against pathogens. Currently, little research on actinomycetes has been published in Indonesia. The study provides issues related to the most relevant keywords actinomycetes, productive authors and countries research, current future topics research. This paper aims understand status trend of biological control, especially their acts agents. We VOSviewer CiteSpace software perform a scientometric bibliometric analysis. Out 452 Scopus publications between 1971 2022. Research increased rapidly since 2000, leading an exponential trend. result shows that >50% papers focus Agricultural Biological Sciences indicate mainly applied China is documented powerful country, followed by United States Iran. In contrast, Indonesia ranks 19th world with nine papers. Scientometric analysis Shahidi Bonjar nominated strongest citation burst author (4.01). Their topic control pathogens Actinomycetes, Streptomyces sp., while fungi dominant pathogen. These findings analysis, showing spp. two primary database, found 183 139 documents. actinomycete focuses ability manage plant diseases naturally. future, we predict actinobacterial still essential particularly those involving species. Also, several important associated activities controlling pests (nematode), postharvest disease, growth promoter ability.
